FAIST ChemTec was a manufacturer of films for various applications in the automotive, household appliance and construction industries. FAIST ChemTec developed and manufactured acoustically effective products to reduce structure-borne noise for the automotive industry and manufacturers of household appliances. As a partner to the construction industry, FAIST ChemTec developed and supplied products for sealing and impact sound insulation. FAIST ChemTec emerged from the Waigel company founded in Worms in 1895 and the FAIST company founded in 1904, which specialized in insulation. In 2010, with the support of HANNOVER Finanz and the Faist family, FAIST regained its independence by separating from the group. As there was no solution for succession within the family, the company reorganized itself during the five-year partnership with the help of equity capital and became fully owned by a financial investor in 2015.
